As part of the stage Measurement of the resistance of optical fiber against EMG field effects (or against HEMP), measurements were carried out at the Military Technical Institute in Vyškov. The measurements tested the effect of strong pulses in the form of outdoor NEMP (nuclear electromagnetic pulse) measurements and weaker pulses in the form of broadband pulse generation. Detection of EMG field effects was performed using interferometric, reflectometric, and polarization sensor systems as well as a high-speed ADVA transmission system.
